Thanks for your Support!
I've been busy so haven't been posting much but wanted to get this "thank you" out. It's because of the great people in this running community that I do what I do (with races and such). Thank you for your positive comments regarding Twin Peaks (aside from the first one listed below). Most of the negative ones will probably be said behind my back anyway :) However - as most of you know, the trail and ultra community is a great group of people as a whole!
Sorry to hear about the cancellation for Twin Peaks 2009. I thought the Twin Peak 2008 event was absolutely great and I was really looking forward to running it again in ’09.
Thanks for the information. I certainly understand!
I completely understand and appreciate you going to all the effort to put on a good event. RDs never get enough credit for all the work they do and you have faced some huge challenges in the last year.
Ditto to all that Mark wrote. From working races I see all that it takes on the front end. I cannot imagine all that it takes behind the scenes.
The weather gods have spoken. Please put me on the list for the 2010 TP. Thx for all the work you and your crew have done for the 09 TP.
And many thanks again. My guess is not all the runners will be thrilled about the cancellation, and you will be the one to hear about it. See you in a year.
A tough decision Jessica, but probably the right one...
Don't let those who talk instead of do get you down.
I've never had the pleasure of running any of your races, but I've heard good things about them from my bud, Tracy Moore, and I absolutely love the trails in that area.
I'm sure it was a hard decision for you and as a Marine I know that the right decision is not always the most popular...so good on you for doing what you had to do
Sorry to hear about the race, but you did the right thing.
I’m sorry to read about the cancellation because I was really excited about it. However, it’s really professional how you explained the situation and I agree 100% on your decision.
I fully support and respect your decision - it was indeed a smart move. You know I'm not shy and I'll speak my mind if warranted.
Happy Running & Dirty Feet,
Jessica
